2006 Sweepstakes
Grand Prize Winners!
The prize of a house full of replacement
windows was awarded to Chad and Jessica Morrison of Richmond, VA on March,
2007.
Thank you for seeing us today. Tell us about your
history in this home. Chad:
I
bought it three years ago before we were married. It still had its original single-paned windows from
1969. The heating bill has been atrocious and the glass is so weak I'm concerned
about security. I had a few demonstrations (including Melani Bros.) for
replacing them a few years ago but I wasn't ready to move forward.
How did you enter our sweepstakes?
Jessica: I was at a bridal show last
summer preparing for our upcoming wedding and I saw your kiosk. Chad had been
complaining about his windows and since at that time it was his house I put his name down.
Chad: I didn't know she'd do that. Generally I don't enter contests
because nobody wins. I'm glad she did, though. This is a much better than the
tin box I won at bingo!
How long have you two been married?
Jessica: Our wedding was only four
months ago. We are still getting settled — we're trying to find places to store
all of our wedding presents.
How did you find out that you had won?

Jessica: I got a call from Rick Menendez with Melani
Brothers. Not understanding him, I told him that I wasn't interested. He
persisted saying, "No, I'm not trying to sell you anything. You've won."
Oh my gosh. I still didn't believe him. I called my husband to discuss it. I
kept thinking no way — I've never won anything in my life.
Chad: I had some natural skepticism, so I called Melani Bros. back
to make sure we got the same answers. Even then, we didn't tell our friends for
a while. It's finally sunk in now.
Jessica: It's the best wedding gift we could have ever asked for!
What was the installation like?
Chad: The installation was great! I was expecting it to be a pain
and to take a long time. But the installation was very quick, and I was
amazed at how clean everything was.
Jessica: We didn't so much as dust afterwards! I was also amazed at
the attention to detail that they paid. It was really painless!

We even included the
mullions for a traditional look

How do you like your new windows?
Chad: We love them! They look much nicer than the old windows — never
mind our old hideous storm windows.
Are there other features you like?
Chad: Yes, the easy opening is a definite plus. Most of the old windows
didn't even have that option — they were stuck shut. It's great to be able to
easily slide them all open. The security catches on the frames are nice too for
the occasion when we want to have a window open during the night. And, an
unexpected benefit is the noise reduction.
Jessica: The only drawback is that I can't hear Chad asking me to bring
him a drink when he's working in the yard!
Now he has to come inside and get it!
Could you please tell us about your professional
careers?
Jessica: I'm a School Psychologist for two local middle schools.
Chad is Manager of Operations Analysis at Capital One and a professional photographer
as well. And yes, he does wedding photos!
You can learn more at
his
photography website...
Any advice for our readers?
Chad: I certainly will encourage my friends to enter the sweepstakes.
